Oak Hill, Handsworth Wood

B20 - Grid reference SP047912

A self-explanatory topographical name, Oak Hill is shown on the 1834 Ordnance Survey map at Browns Green, Handsworth Wood west of Handsworth Wood Road, between Friary Road and Somerset Road.

This may have been a hill covered in oaks, or perhaps a hill made distinctive by a solitary oak.
