Lower Saltley

B8 - Grid reference SP094882

At the bottom of the hill down which Alum Rock Road descends, was a small village focus east of the Rea ford known as Lower Saltley. The little section of road between Saltley Viaduct and Saltley Gate is called Saltley High Street, though there is no village or shopping focus there now.
